I'm not kidding LOL I listen to music in about five different languages. Every genre, every style. I'm an avid music lover - you'll NEVER find me without something playing.
Filmler
Boondock Saints, Carlito's Way, The Professional, Dear Frankie, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Big Trouble, 300, Sin City, American History X, Pan's Labyrinth, Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, etcetera, so on and so forth ;) Kung Fu Hustle, The One, Unleashed, Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior, The Protector...
Alright, I confess, I freaking LOVE martial arts flicks and Panom Yeerum (aka "Tony Jaa") is one BAD ASS mother fucker, I don't care who you are - you gotta give the guy his dues.
Televizyon
*clears throat* Honestly? I rarely ever watch it.
Why are you looking at me like I'm nuts? I know, I know - it makes me like the only person in the world but I'm so happy making my own videos and writing my own stuff that I rarely have time to watch anything.
HOWEVER haha I have just started watching the first show on a regular basis in years - I mean I sit and pine away for the next week's episode like an addict. So what show has stolen my heart?
This is what I'm talking about! SOA has single handedly restored my faith in television. I stand in awe of the ASS KICKERY that is this show. I am head over heels for Katey Sagal as Gemma. If I were ever to leave my husband for a woman it would be her LOL Soooo sexy - you just have no idea what she does to me *sigh* I'm in love :D
ALSO: despite being burned rather SEVERELY by Joss Whedon in the epically made of FAIL episode "Hero", I'm falling in love with the first season of "Angel" all over again.
Well, actually just the first nine episodes...
And more specifically just one character ;) LOL No - it's not who you're thinking.
Allen Francis Doyle, played by Glenn Quinn was/still is the SEX. Unfortunately for the women of the world Glenn passed away in 2002. I'm currently fangirling an uberly hot Irish ghost :D I tell ya, were he still around my marriage might be in trouble LOL MWAH! Love ya, Glenn - 6 years after you left and we still miss you terribly!
My name is Alisha and I'm a 26 year old former mechanic (yeah, gave that up after 3 years as a bad habit) who uses writing and producing fan videos as a creative outlet for the billions of ideas constantly swirling around in my mind.
I'm half Irish, half Italian (which means I have the unique genetic composition required for downing wine or whisky like water) and full Philly. (As in Philadelphia)
I am what you could call a 'spiritual agnostic'; meaning: I do not profess to know whether there is a God but I am not an athiest. I do not follow the idea of enforced organized religions. I do not believe that if I fail to speak words written by men or appear before a mortal who has been elevated to the level of a diety I will go to hell. I do not discriminate against believers of religions, though. I feel that every person is entitled to their own beliefs. As such, I think that fighting over religion is insane. Arguing over the meaning of texts written by men and killing in the name of any God is disgusting. I think the absolute truest statement regarding religion was made in Stigmata: "The Kingdom of God is inside you, and all around you, not in mansions of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood... and I am there, lift a stone... and you will find me." I can speak to my Maker in thoughts anywhere, at any time.
I believe there are higher powers. I believe there are spirits watching over us. I believe that there are energies beyond our realm of understanding or perception. I believe that our final judgment will come after death and that our hearts and intentions are what will matter. The basic laws of humanity are the ones that will count: do not rape, do not steal, do not kill.
I think the vilest form of arrogance is assuming you understand how difficult another person's life is for them. I think we never truly know what goes on inside the people around us. I think it is impossible to understand another person's choices completely unless you are in their exact situation. I have been through highs and lows in my life...extreme lows...and I am thankful for every one of them. They have given me a wider understanding of the world and insight into how easy it is to stray from the path we wish to tread.
I aspire to be a published author, a professional editor for films, screenwriter, or possibly a director. I have such a clear vision in my mind of how the things I write should be seen by audiences that I have a feeling a career in film is in my future. I simply ADORE languages for some reason, always have. I find the power of words to be fascinating.
I'm teaching myself to speak and understand Thai at the moment and surprisingly (to myself and my husband) sound completely natural at it. I've been plunged headfirst into Spanish for the past ten years and nothing makes me happier than learning new words from my inlaws and friends. When writing I always try to bring a culture into the mix to research and explore. My mind is constantly seeking stimulus - so the internet is my best friend LOL I've got a computer loaded to the gills with thousands of ideas which will never make me any money, but which demanded to be created just the same. One day I plan to make one of my hobbies a professional gig, but for now I just make whatever my A.D.D. prone Muse tells me to. I'm a review whore so I go with the motto "If you read it, feed it." I try to practice what I preach and review just about anything I read. Same goes for videos people! LOL They take several hours to create and it gets my Muse down when I don't get any feedback.
That's pretty much it, hope you enjoy my writings and videos and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
About half of the music that I listen to I found on the internet. Just the other day there was this VISA commercial that had this amazing song on it and I was able to find it thanks to the internet. Turns out it's "I'm Shipping Off to Boston" by Dropkick Murphys.
Oh, and thanks for suggesting Wizard's First Rule. I'm about halfway through the book and am enjoying it immensly. I have to admit that what I'd seen of Legend of the Seeker didn't give me this overwhelming desire to run off and read the book. Glad to be proven wrong.
YES! I will have the track "seven years" finished and handed to you by tomorrow. that gives you about... erm 5 days to make the video which is fair enough amount of time right? Let me know. We need it done by December 3rd.
That was one of them. The other one, which I see is no longer on your playlist, is "Uprising" by Muse. I saw AMC's mini-series The Prisoner last week and before I had seen all the episodes I just knew that I had to make some videos for it. In fact, I've already made one but YT being YT I was forced to upload a silent version and provide links to see the complete video elsewhere.
Where on earth do you get all of your tunes? I swear that about 3/4 of them I've never heard on the radio before. But maybe because Philly is so much larger than the Springs you have the advantage over me. :)
Ta failte romhat! Of course I won't do that to you. lol I probably won't finish the track tonight thought. But definitely at least 5 days before december 3rd at the latest!!!! Which means I will likely have the track done during the next few days. I will send the track to you as soon as it is finished.
And yeah I thought of the song name. "seven years" written by david scott for glenn quinn. for the 7th aniversary. seven years without you. :)
and lol. just go offline for the instant message things then? they don't have the option?
and cheers to you to! :) i will for sure have it done withint the next few days. i know your dying to put a video together right away. yeah i know we didn't have a time frame at first but really. i think its only right to have it done and posted on december 3rd. especially since the track and video will be titled. seven years.
lol funny how everytime im writing music you catch me.
right now. im writing music. :) lol yeah i know. strange huh? well anyway. thats all im up to really. still working on that track in all. we need to have our video finished by december 3rd for the 7th aniversary! so it will for sure be done before then and upped that day likely. i was thinking about writing a whole other track similar to the one i sent you with a constant piano riff and naming it "seven years"
