BAD IDEA Promotions is devised solely to promote
new bands or individuals or anyone who needs help in organising gigs, events
and festivals. Based in Ystalyfera, Swansea Valley (South Wales) we
organise, set up and construct Gigs all over South Wales but we are
branching out further a-field all the time and looking forward to the next year of promoting.
We utilise all available resources in order to do the best job that we are able. We are NOT Agents, we will look carefully at promoting any band that asks for our help without prejudice, our best work however, has been done in the past with mainly Rock/Metal/Alternative bands but we are confidently able to work with many styles of music.
Having Successfully organised a community music festival in our village of Ystalyfera in 2007, we have been asked to supply the music for all future events aswell.
Background
Two guy’s who keep wanting more from the gig scene in general decided to
organise a local festival (after doing many gigs together) and during the
course of many sessions of organising, drinking and giging together spawned
the incarnation of BAD IDEA Promotions.
Sadley in September 2007 one of the founding members of Bad Idea left the group to persue his music career, I wish him well and lots of success on his journey and thank him for the tireless efforts he made.
Ever Expanding upon what we started I (Ollie), keep widening our resources and keep our project up and running.
Our initial reason for setting up our group is to give new bands the
opportunity to be featured in live shows with other more experienced bands
playing alongside them. Within our local area there are bands of all music
styles and abilities who are not given the chance to play or progress, because of various reasons e.g. age, experience etc…
