We're interested in writers as well - we have a nice community of writers with short fiction posted on the blog each week. You can submit your short and flash fiction to badmarmalade@gmail.com.
We'll be releasing publications and anthologies in 2009, so get in touch if you want to be involved.

Something on your mind? Contribute a commentary or opinion and have your say. Trivial or relevant, serious or tongue in cheek - we all have a voice, so just use it. There are several different blogs on the site from the serious to the trivial. If you'd like to share your words, just e-mail badmarmalade@gmail.com or send us a message here on Myspace.
Welcome to Bad Marmalade – we’re a developing website for musicians, writers, artists, film-makers and photographers. The main aim is to get people working together—we have lots of ways to do that. Here is what we have to offer – and how you can get involved...
GIGS & CLUBNIGHTS
We want your CD’s and MP3’s for clubnights and podcasts.
BAD MARMALADE @ MOJO: The Bad Marmalade band night. The Manchester runs every other Sunday night at Mojo in Manchester. See the calendar below for the latest line-ups.
BAD MARMALADE HOUSE PARTY: Just that—we bring you the house party. Want to play, or offer us your gaff for a friendly shindig? We even stick around to help with the cleaning! Or if you’d like an invite to a future house party—give us a ahout and we’ll see what what can do. The latest house parties are listed in the calendar below.
WWW.BADMARMALADE.COM & MYSPACE
We’ve got lots to read and hear as well. The website is here and developing every day—expect podcasts in the near future, with top tunes from unsigned bands. At the moment we’re using the Myspace blog to present top commentary, fiction, opinion and debate. We’re always looking for more writers and bloggers to get on board.
Not only that, but we want it to look good—which is where the artists, illustrators get involved.
This is really what we’re about—earlier this year, an American writer presented a piece for Bad Marmalade, based in Manchester. A Canadian artist read it and was inspired to create an illustration for it.
Through Bad Marmalade, we want musicians working with film-makers, artists illustrating fiction, and the film-makers and writers collaborating. If you have anything you want to get done, and you want to get in touch with people who can help, we want to hear from you. See what can be done.
If you’d like to join in – get in touch through the Myspace or e-mail badmarmalade@gmail.com. We’re always accepting submissions – the more the merrier.
Who I'd like to meet: Writers, musicians, artists, photographers, poets, film-makers, bloggers and readers. ENTHUSIASTIC SOULS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME HERE.

Next episode features an interview with MANCHESTER pioneers Mind on Fire wrapped around tunes from Quincy Bright, Four Tet/Sa Ra Collective, CHEAPSKATE, Thomas Dolby, Move D, Bauhaus, Super Furry Animals, the jaw-dropping new single by Tim Exile and many many more.
Always looking for the unusual, edgy and creative....
