cassi here. seeing as vishy has been so forthcoming, i'll add some of my people influences. from a while back: blancmange, japan, clash, bowwowwow, bowie, annie lennox, the vibrant raw ragga scene in the 80's, gospel in general, love my musicals and a fair bit of country that my dad was into when i was growing up.
more recent: pj harvey, bjork, skunk anansie, fiona apple, the "bristol scene" which revived the music scene for me (portishead, massive attack, tricky, etc) lamb, radiohead, tori amos, and so much more that would take forever to compile and the list would never end. i am constantly inspired by the creative people around me, by the band, by little things that happen in everyday life.
