The bagend project emerged in 2003 out of an urge to play atypical Indie rock while keeping well clear of the mind-numbing stereotypes that were cluttering the airwaves at the time. Starting from the beat scene, the band fast found themselves in a labyrinth of psychedelic grunge-influenced rock'n'roll contamination as the players rejected inertia and frustration by getting into some serious mind trips. After several splits due to conflict with tuned-out drummers and bass players, Paride, 25 (synth, Hammond, vox, bass), Lele, 28 (drums, percussion) and Marko, 26 (vox, guitars, bass) formed the current bagend lineup. To find out where they're currently at, make sure you've got some big speakers connected to your PC and turn up the volume.
il progetto bagend nasce nell’autunno del 2003 con l’intento di tramutare in musica l’amore per la psichedelia e per la sperimentazione. Il nostro suono è grezzo, essenziale, diretto ed immediato e spazia da atmosfere sixties a sonorità più moderne ed aggressive. Le influenze sono migliaia, ma si possono riassumere in Beatles, Pearl Jam, Syd Barrett e Pink Floyd, Marlene Kuntz, Verdena, Doors, Rino Gaetano, Nirvana, David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Kinks, l’Heineken da 66, il tabacco secco, la PFM.
Dopo aver lottato con alcuni batteristi svogliati ed aver cambiato più volte formazione, resta il fulcro originale del gruppo: Paride (organo, synth, voce, bassi), Lele (batteria, percussioni), Marko (chitarre, voce, basso).

Notizia dell'ultima ora: i NEW YORK DOLLS saranno di scena al Pieffe Factory di Lucinico (Gorizia) domenica 27 Luglio!! La band di David Johansen intraprenderà questo mese un 'last minute' tour europeo, che li vedrà suonare in alcune date insieme a Sex Pistols e Morrissey... Il concerto potrà essere visto solamente da 300 fortunati (il club purtroppo non ne contiene di più), quindi affrettatevi a prenotare il biglietto.
