"...Earplugs in, seatbelts fastened and face straight forward. Prepare for the most explosive Dutch band in years. Overwhelming like a stampeding herd of elephants, compelling like a whirlpool. After having impressive successes on the internet the band found its base back in Europe. Their music ticks like an atomic bomb and shines like a diamond with the scent of a fresh spring breeze. Overwhelming and explosive, these are the primary keywords for Bagga Bownz!..."

Mix hip-hop, metal and urban into a controlled mayhem of sounds and what you get is Bagga Bownz. Hailing from The Hague, the Netherlands, the distinctive vocals of Mellow-C against the concrete raps of L Rock on a layer of 'Rock your socks off' guitars (XLR, aka Eller van Buuren, brother of the acclaimed number 1 dj of the world, Armin van Buuren), loops and noises of drummer Koen Herfst and bassist Wong Jr. are widely noticed outside their country. Not to mention the thousands of downloads in Japan and the U.S., that resulted in an US Billboard 'Hits of the web' Chart position. They performed in the US twice at the Just Plain Folks Awards (2006) and on the International Stage at the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati (2007).
Recently they opened for the Blood Hound Gang, Papa Roach and The Gym Class Heroes while they were noticed earlier by close friend, producer, musician Mike McKnight (Mariah Carey, Madonna, U2 and Earth, Wind and Fire). Undoubtedly you've seen and/or heard him...
They performed live at the bigger venues and festivals, radio- and television shows in the Netherlands. They have been characterized for their live performances as 'as energetic as popcorn', but as recording artists they manage to capture the same vibe in the studio as they do on stage.
"Wow finally we have a new sound to save us from the repetitive Hip-Hop and Metal coming from the other side of the world! You are forging a path into the new frontier of music, powerful, demanding, overpowering and in your face confronting the listener. Your blurring of boundaries of styles adds to the gritty but stylish sound on this cd. Do l like what l hear? The answer definitely is yes , the vocals are outstanding as are the compositions and l am sure our listeners will do so too! Congratulations go to you and all concerned with the producing of this cd." - Peter Merrett - PBS-FM Australia
“This release was very unique and I must say I enjoyed it. I love it when hip- hop is mixed with that heavier sound and I think this band took it to a new level of creativity in their incorporating female vocals and various elements into the music. We have been playing Bagga Bownz on WIPZ and other D.J.'s like it as well!” - Jake J. Halverson - WIPZ Radio - USA
“BRILLIANT – EXCELLENT - We have enjoyed it immensely, and have added tracks from the cd to our playlists. Your presentation of music, inside the style and personality reflected in the tracks is very refreshing. Keep it up.” - Graham J Barclay - Soundwave FM - New Zealand

“The result is a tough, hard and ultrafast sound, to be danced to as well and live, most probably, a memorable experience. Their debut album is an extremely loud birth of absolutely new, daring and extremely hot sounds” - WoammNL
“Bagga Bownz, that pressed all styles of the last 30 years in a small package in a most phenomenal way” - Erwin Musper, international producer (Van Halen, Scorpions...)
“Un-Dutch good” – “The production is amazing” – “This cd distinguishes itself not only by music, but also by the cover” - MusicMaker – Dutch music magazine
