Leo Brown was born in Nassau, Bahamas in 1969 but grew up in Grand Bahama. He is the owner of Leo's Art Gallery located in Port Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island from March 1993. He studied art at Miami International university of art and design.
This talented Bahamian artist bids you to come and meet him when you visit Grand Bahama. He enjoys meeting folks from the world all over. His artistic flair began as he started painting at the age of nine (9). He won an art competition in the 5th grade for painting a picture of pirates.
The artist, who has been painting since the age of nine, explained that the unique techniques used in his work is an impressionistic one. It is comprised completely of a series of meticulous dots and horizontal and vertical contour and hatching lines. The techniques can be seen etched in all of his paintings and has captured the hearts of all his customers around the world. Leo expresses that Art is an expression of the soul. "I paint what I see, how I feel and what I imagine."
When visiting Grand Bahama you can visit his gallery in Port Lucaya and view both his original works and the fine, signed, limited additions lithographic prints.
Now for the first time those of you not fortunate enough to visit his gallery personally may view his work on-line.
All lithographs are available for purchase by mail order and their sizes average 20" x 27". Each signed lithograph print is $60.00 plus shipping and handling. Many original works are available but are priced individually. If interested in an original kindly inquire by painting name and a prompt reply will be made as to whether it is available and the price of same.
And remember to stop by and meet Leo when visiting Grand Bahama, even if you aren't in the market for artwork -- he'd love to meet you!
