Austin Armitage - 30 year old guitar player has been jamming on various instruments most of his life and digs his Gibson Les Paul. Austin's classic blues/rock influence is reflected in his style and the music he creates. He has a talent for turning out original tunes with a classic sound, potent lyrics and leads that will blow you away!

Photobucket

Matrisha Armitage - 27 year old drummer with a double-bass kit, heavy style and vocals to boot. Matrisha went from guitar to drums in high school and immediately found her instrument of choice. She never leaves a beat unjammed and loves to move around the kit and wail on the mic! Completely raw, untrained and untamed, Matrisha is a "natural" in her zone.
InfluencesOur influences include Jimi Hendrix/Band of Gypsies, Eric Clapton/Cream, Neil Young/CSNY, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Allman Brothers, Lynard Skynard, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Freddy King, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, John Lennon and many, many other awesome musicians, known and unknown.

Austin & Matrisha of Bajuana Tea have been brewing for over ten years and have a soulful, smoky blend of organic rock originals inspired by blues, 60's classics, folk and funky jam bands. Their all-natural sound is unique and raw in a way that engages the listener and excites the senses.

Bajuana Tea self-recorded their first album, 100% Natural, in their home studio and released their second heavily steeped political blend, Something's Got To Change in 2007. On New Year's Eve this year, they completed the circle and release their first acoustic creation, Take A Sip, and are planning to expand what they can offer and continue having a great time playing as much as possible and sharing their original sound with the community.

Bajuana Tea is diverse in their practiced ability to perform electrically charged rock sets and mellow, acoustic environments without missing a beat and exude a joy when performing in both arenas that is palpable and honest. Take A Sip is packed with emotionally-charged songs designed to reach the other half of their audience and had been long awaited and requested by family, fans and friends.

Performing at a wide variety of events including parties, weddings, outdoor festivals, picnics, birthdays, restaurants, stores and celebrations, Bajuana Tea performs electric and acoustic set that include unique originals and classic songs with a passion for the music and the stage.

Bajuana Tea enjoys playing at many local venues such as Agate Alley Bistro, Papa's Soul Food Kitchen, Silvan Ridge Winery, The Red Lion, The Landmark in Yachats, Diablo's, World Flavors, Saturday Market, Wetlands, WineStyles, Axe & Fiddle, Mac's at The Vet's Club, Earl's Juke Joint and many more.

We have also been fortunate to participate in some special local events including Hayward Field's Eugene 08, 2007 & 2008 Grrrlz Rock Series, Breakfast With The Blues radio show, benefits for organizations such as LEAD, Food For Lane County, Mayor Kitty Piercy's Campaign, The Bus Project, WOW Hall and several individual occasions such as weddings, birthday parties, holiday parties, and of course for musicians and survivors of illness in need.

We hope to see at one of our gigs and please contact us if you want to work on a project, collaborate or just jam!

Check out our calendar for some first time gigs coming up at Joe's Bar & Grill, The Home & Garden Show and KRVM 91.9 Rock N' Rome radio show and many more to come.......

Peace & Music, Bajuana Tea

Hey, thanks for spreading the word about this abandoned horse.  I'm still trying to find a permanent place for him.  He's a really nice guy & I couldn't live w/ myself it I let him go to auction :(     That said, the owner is a total FLAKE.  Hasn't been out there in over a month.  Bruce & I have been taking care of him....we just need to get the word out.  Unfortunately, times are tough & there are so many neglected horses and other animals...very sad.  Thanks again.

DIRECTIONS: People taking a bus make sure to catch the 96 coburg bus leaving Eugene Station @ 5:30. There will be more kids on that bus and ones you arrive in coburg make sure to get off with them at the fire station and walk down North Cuburg Road. From there you will probably end up running into kids and loud music when you walk down north coburg road, its a long walk but its always worth it.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=N+Coburg+Rd,+Eugene,+Lane,+Oregon&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=46.898798,79.013672&ie=UTF8&cd=2&geocode=FaXxoAIdHj2q-A&split=0&ll=44.176479,-123.056402&spn=0.041736,0.077162&z=14&iwloc=A

This is Google Map try putting this into your http on top of your screen and it might be a little easier. The house is on the left side and is surrounded by fields you can see the barn from the highway, the barn is Grey and very old looking. its a good 20 minute walk from the fire station.
