Baking, candy making, playing drums, being a Mom. Oh, and as far as musical instruments go, my main axe *well you really can't call it one* is the flute. I've been playing for 35 years now. Wow!

Yellow Matter Custard
She Said, She Said
Thanks very much to Serge, who gave me the youtube link so I could watch this clip, and many others. Choosing just one was tough. Ok, the explanation as to why I have a video clip of a Beatles cover band here. I went to junior high and high school with the bass player for this band. Matt is extraordinarily talented, and this clip proves it. I think everyone in this band is excellent, and I chose this song because it showcases Matt's talent for singing and playing the bass. Plus, you get to find out who everyone is at the end. Btw, the drummer's real name in Mike Portnoy. Enjoy!
Comedies are my favorite. I like UHF, Parenthood, Mrs. Doubtfire, Liar Liar, the Ace Ventura movies, the Wayne's World movies, I could go on.

Television
I love British comedy, especially Blackadder! As to whatever else I watch these days, hubby practically rules the tv with any and all forensics shows, but we do enjoy Family Guy, and Everybody Loves Raymond.
Heroes
Hmm, when I was younger, gymnasts like Cathy Rigby, Olga Korbut and Nadia Comenci were heroes of mine.

Patti The Essential "Weird Al" Yankovic - glorious 38 song 2 cd set! Out now! Posted at 10:01 PM Nov 17 view more
About me: Hi!
I'm Patti. I'm married to a wonderful man named Bill, and I have two boys, Derek and Marshall, and a puppy named Scout. I live in a small town. I love Weird Al, Rowan Atkinson, Demented music, baking, candy making, and surfing the internet.
Al singing "the big finish" to me!
Well, what can I say? This was a totally amazing, wonderful experience, and I'll never forget it. I really didn't expect him to sing the entire ending of the song all to me, but he sure did! I had the biggest grin on my face the whole time, as he gyrated and licked his lips, looking right at me almost the entire time. I thanked him for singing to me when I saw him after the show, and he giggled. Thanks so much, Al. You rule!
Ben Folds with special guest Weird Al on the Tonight Show
..
Who I'd like to meet: Well, I've met Weird Al four times! :) Meeting him was a goal of mine. He's always so nice, and he's easy to talk to. I'd also love to meet Rowan Atkinson, although I doubt it will ever happen. Oh, can't forget Ben Folds!! I wanna see him live, and then meet him, and thank him for Gracie. Seriously. That song makes me think of my Laura. Laura was my daughter. She passed away on March 22, 2002. The descriptions in Gracie make me think of her. So sweet. Update: I saw Ben Folds in concert, and got to meet him after the show! He signed my Songs for Silverman cd insert, and he gave me a hug. I wasn't brave enough to mention Gracie, or thank him for it, but he was really nice. :)
Here are some song lyrics that Weird Al was "forced" to write by the folks at Entertainment Weekly, accordion to them. This was in exchange for them telling everyone that The Weird Al Show is coming out on dvd August 15th. Huzzah! The article is in the June 30th issue. The lyrics kinda explain themselves. They are written from Al's point of view. I laughed my butt off at this, especially since the music from real song was going through my head as I read them.
So, without further ado, here is Al's parody of "I Will Survive" called "I Will Comply"
At first I was aghast, I was mortified
When Entertainment Weekly
Made me swallow all my pride
They made it clear unless I wrote them
Some lame parody
There wouldn't be a piece on my new DVD
I tried to make...them understand
I am an artist, you can't make me crank
This stuff out on demand!
I am not your monkey boy,
And you are not the boss of me
But if I have to stroke your egos
For some cheap publicity
I'll write this song, under duress
Just goes to show ya...extortion
Really works, I guess
You think I'd blow 'em off
And kiss that plug goodbye?
Did you think I'd say no
'Cause I'm such a principled guy
Oh no, not I
I will comply
Although frankly, I would rather
Jam a needle in my eye
Can't believe I'd sink this low
To promote my lousy show
Yeah, I'll comply
I will comply
Oy vey
