Heroes
My Grandmother will always be my number one hero...
About me: Well, I'm sure that my previous bio has long ago expired. Just when I think I have myself figured out, that self-perception changes without hesitation. And so do internet biographies. You know, I think that is one of the things that makes life wonderful, that feeling of not knowing...and Im not talking about mini biographies that people write about themselves, because, I can guarantee you that if I decided to write one of these tomorrow, it would be different. So, since I am suppose to write about myself, I will attempt to do just that. I don't believe that any person can be summed up in a single paragraph, so I will attempt to be as concise as I can. I am a young native girl of the big/little city of Vancouver. I have big dreams and one life and am making the best of my time on this earth while I am still on it. Everything happens for a reason, I know that every person that has touched my life has affected this course, however, I have always known that in the end I will be where I need to be and so any changes in my life are and were destined to transpire. I am thankful to the people that have touched my life. I like to think I have an open mind. I find that I am learning more about who I am as a person as each day passes. I may not know what is going to happen tomorrow, but, I am sure looking forward to it.

Raiders Celebrate Native American Heritage Posted Nov 11, 2009
a a Several activities are scheduled for this Sunday's game... The Oakland Raiders will pay tribute to Native American Heritage Month this Sunday when the Silver and Black take on the Kansas City Chiefs at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The celebration includes a KTNN radio broadcast in the Navajo language, an on-field ceremony to honor Navajo Code Talker and Former Leader of the Navajo Nation Peter MacDonald and a performance by the Native American dance group – Native Boogie and Beats.
“We salute the Navajo Nation and the Navajo Code Talkers and we are proud to broadcast Raider games in Navajo for the fifth consecutive season,” said Raiders Chief Executive Amy Trask. “We are committed to reaching our global fan base in a variety of languages and through a variety of multimedia options. Broadcasting our games in Navajo allows us to do this and also presents another opportunity to preserve the Navajo language and to salute the Navajo Code Talkers.”
Native Boogie and Beats will welcome fans with a traditional dance performance at the Coliseum BART entrance gate. The dancers will celebrate the beauty and pageantry of Native American social dance and singing styles commonly viewed at Pow Wows.
