There is a lone warm light burning in the depths of a suburban household; a room hardly able to sustain a sound more gigantic than the shadows of the young musicians inside. This is the room where Balance & Composure wrote I JUST WANT TO BE PURE. With their souls playing off the cement walls and the skeletal structure of a ceiling's attempts to encase their epic passion keeps the band motivated- to finally uplift the framework of a society so desolate of feeling that it is the only reason their cave has not caved in.

I JUST WANT TO BE PURE begins with a melodically overdriven atmosphere. It is a sensational awakening transcending introduction, causing the ears to be so aware of this band's desire to be heard. The feeling is as overwhelming as the deeply introspective emotions of an abandoned voice staggering through exhaustion with a desperate longing for hope and an undying fear of death so much larger than life itself. It is only the feverishly intricate and melodious guitar work and overpowering percussion that can balance out theirs and our morose, hardhearted world. Balance & Composure plays live with an out cry for self reflection, and music with so much substance to awake even the emptiest person. So tightly together and in tune with not only what they play but where they are going.

The lone warm light burning in the depths of that basement embodies their one head light desperation to overcome day by day into something so pure.

We formed after the break up of The Erection Kids and Scenic State early fall '07. We're just kids in high school making music. We recorded a 3 song demo to get some songs out there and we are writing alot of cool weird stuff to eventually put on an EP or something like that. We are all handsome.
