BALDHEAD/AKA SNAKE PLISKIN/AKA ENGLEWOOD’S F's Comedian Bio
|
| Bio | Comedian “BALDHEAD” PHILLIPS was born in Chicago, Illinois in the
notoriously known neighborhood of Englewood.
He survived being in a gang, being surrounded by
pimps, prostitutes, and “players” and was always
prayed for by a multitude of elders who hoped for a
positive change and longevity in the lives of their
children.
Baldhead launched his comedy career based
on a motivational dare from his deceased younger
brother. It just so happened that two of his
closest friends, comedians Deon Cole and
Marlon Mitchell were also starting out in the
comedy business. Unfortunately, after a 3 year run,
Deon and Marlon were left to carry the torch without
Baldhead for four years, Baldhead was incarcerated
from 1996-2000 in Minnesota. You’ll have to ask him
why…onlyhe can tell his story accurately.
It was clearly meant for him to be here to
entertain us because he survived being shot five
times, one bullet striking him in the back of the head.
Since that near fatal incident, Baldhead has
taken on the mission of staying alive, not only
for himself, but for his children as well. Baldhead refers to himself as Englewood’s Finest
while fans affectionately refer to him as
“The Next Robin Harris”.
If you were to ask Baldhead what he likes about being a
comedian, he’d respond with, “I really ain’tno comedian.”
He tells stories about real life; his life. His style is raw, aggressive
and no holds barred. If you are a heckler, it would be dangerous
to sit in the front row at Baldhead’s show because he would
literally send you home feeling wounded. It’s never his intent
to make anyone feel bad, but there is always that one brave soul in
the audience. If you open your mouth, you’re asking for it and he’ll
give it to you.
Baldhead currently travels throughout the U.S. performing at
various comedy clubs with a diverse audience. He also performs
at private events. Some heavy weights that he has opened for
are comedians Mo’Nique, J. Lamont, Lavelle Crawford, and Nick
Lewis.
Baldhead is definitely in big demand and on his way to a comedy
