Right now, Im feeling Crime Mob, Little Brother, My Chemical Romance, The Fray, Lil Wayne, Tech Nine, The Fuckin Beatles, Brisco, Sean Lennon, John Lennon, Good Charlotte Shawty Lo, Fall Out Boy, Corrine Bailey Rae, Kanye West, Icp, Brotha Lynch....just to name a few. As far as my musical influence; well it comes from all around. More than just musically, I am driven by success. I get influence from actors, singers, rappers, movies, and anything else that might move me in some way or another. Its more than the music to me. Its a way of life. Some people have it, and some dont. Personally, I believe I do.
The Name: Billy Wanka. Im twenty-five, and fuckin talented. I was born in Houston, Texas but raised everywhere from Ohio, Chicago, Michigan, hell even Wisconsin. Ive spent the last ten years in Denver, Co. I guess thats why my style is so expansive. The music I make is authentic and honest. When I write, I write about whats really happening in my life. You can feel it when you listen to a song. In the seven years I been doing this, I've put out three albums, all of which I produced and wrote myself, and then sold out of the trunk. Over 10,000. I headlined at the Bluebird, Starred in a commercial for Wheeltime Rentals(yeah niggas thats me in the Charger), performed at numerous venues, shot a couple videos, and produced music for a number of local projects. I used to perform under the name, Baliztic. I changed it to Billy Wanka recently because it made more sense. Billy, being my first name represents the real me, not some made up character. Wanka, i borrowed from a childhood hero, Willy Wonka. The Wanka in my name represents my insane genius. It reminds me that although im crazy. Thats okay. 2008 is the year that I go all the way. My singles " I don't", "Hott", and "Jump Up", are already getting love in the city. I represent the streets. The niggas who never had shit. Those are the people I do this shit for. We moved around so much when I was young, I couldnt claim no hood. Nigga I aint from nowhere!
