Balkan Bamachsan Orchestra is a unique and colorful Middle-Eastern-Balkan brass band.
It is a ten-piece orchestra playing a variety of brass and percussion instruments along with an accordion, creating a vibrant soulful show.
The band’s music is a multi-cultural melting pot. It is a fusion of old and new, combining Eastern-European traditions of Balkan brass bands and Jewish Klezmer with traditional Arabic and Middle-Eastern music, all spiced with the vibrant spirit of the band members.
Repertoire consists of freshly arranged traditional tunes, alongside original pieces.
Whether on stage or while marching, the orchestra sweeps audiences on an enchanted journey through different rhythms and atmospheres, from tranquil soulful melodies to upbeat tunes that make the whole body dance.
Balkan Warehouse Orchestra was formed in Tel-Aviv in 2005. Its members come from different musical backgrounds, jazz, classical and ethnic, which makes playing together a stimulating experience, as well as enriches the sound.
In its three years of activity, the band has been playing in a large variety of venues and stages, seeking to spread joy through the international language of music and reach audiences worldwide, beyond the boundaries of culture and origin.

As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Yo balkan ba machsanasaurus. I just found out that we're related...and as a special family only present we've made a new song for you called "End of Days" (start doing backflips now). It's an epic instrumental opus to the moment when our ancient Dino relatives saw a large fiery object plummeting towards them. Please come to our page, give it a listen and let us know if it makes you feel like something catastrophic is gonna happen. If the song upsets you too much we will be holding a support group (read: comcert) this Friday in San Francisco. Please come, we promise it'll be a (non-meteor-related) blast. Here's the flyer:
Dear balkan ba machsan, i've just passed by to say hi and to invite you and your friends to our next concert (hope U can make it). Anyway all the best. B. Eitan
