| About Chris Morrisette |
Singer/songwriter for many years; also dabble in other forms of creative pursuits; writing children's stories, attempted novels and screenplays. I love new ideas but obsess on older unfinished business. Once believed that fame and fortune in the music business was the end all/be all...have moderated this as I've gotten older, wiser. For the past 10 years have been wood shedding in the studio, knocking out works for hire, song demos, imaginary and unreleased albums for my own edification, straddling the line between self absorbed fantasy/living in the real world...
Goal is to continue the creative process begun as a young man with a vision, which was at first derivative of the many cultural and artistic influences that filled the senses. Over the years the vision has hopefully become my own.
I've collaborated with many people over the years, yet found it difficult to maintain a productive working relationship, especially when my skills and talents overlap with theirs. I've also discovered that what I think is important rarely coincides with anyone else's idea of same...
