At best it’s all a dream. So let’s start from there. Balloon wants to create dreams of our own. Trips. Psychedelic, heavy, delicate, big, epical, deep. Trips, but always based on a good song. And good words too. In order to evoke a convincing world you have to dig deep in music ánd words. At least we try.
Inspiration comes from various and very diverse directions. Thus the music creates a link between Pink Floyd and Rammstein. (We understand the need for labels and references…)
Balloon is based in the north of the Netherlands and consists of four composing members. The line-up: Cyril Wijte, bass; Michiel van Horssen, drums, Hans Baaij, vocals & synths; Jos Commandeur, guitar & backing vocs. For gigs we are joined by extra guitarist Robin Versteegh.
