At best it’s all a dream. So let’s start from there. We want to create dreams of our own. Trips. Psychedelic, heavy, delicate, big, epical, deep. Trips, but always based on a good song. And good words too. In order to evoke a convincing world you have to dig deep in music ánd words. At least we try.
Inspiration comes from various and very diverse directions. Thus the music creates a link between Pink Floyd and Rammstein. But essentially it's really Balloon: prog 'n' roll, stonerprog... something like that anyway...
Balloon is based in the north of the Netherlands and consists of four composing members. The line-up: Cyril Wijte, bass; Michiel van Horssen, drums, Hans Baaij, vocals & synths; Jos Commandeur, guitar & backing vocs. We've been completed by extra guitarist Robin Versteegh.
