So, I'm tired of playing the victim. I am not a victim. I've allowed this mentality to push me into a stagnation that has lasted for WAY too long! In the spring of 2000, I nearly died in a car wreck, of which I broke my neck in three different places, collapsed a lung, aneurysm in the spleen, yada yada YADA! (Big deal, eh?) Somehow I guess this made me believe I could lay around and feel sorry for myself. So I did. Days turned into months. Months turned into years. Eight Years to be exact, yet somehow, until recently, I have allowed myself to have played the victim. Sean, it is about high time you GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE!!! I have a talent, but I've wasted it. I know I can draw fairly well, yet I let myself blow it off (for the most part) for these 8 years. I still managed to crank out some work here and there, but never on a consistent basis! I was MEANT to be an artist. It's been something in my blood since the day I picked up my first pencil. I've been able to see things most other people can't see, yet my mopey ass decided to neglect my God given talent for so long! SO here I am today, back into my art on almost a daily basis saying I will NEVER let myself fall into the artistic stagnation that I've let consume me, EVER AGAIN! So, I almost died back in 2000? SO WHAT? I'm alive today, and for the most part, pretty healthy! Here's to hopes of a future, meaningful art career!
