As we enter the sixth year of occupation of Iraq, we will soon be marking the loss of the 4000th US soldier. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have died as well. Millions are displaced.
To call attention to the terrible human costs of this war, AFSC will hold a reading of the names, 4000 US dead, 4000 Iraqi dead, on Saturday, April 5th on the steps of City Hall in Providence.
The reading will take about 12 hours. We will start at 9am and go in half hours shifts. You can take more than one shift, put I suggest not doing them back to back. Families can take a shift and share the reading. Please contact me if you would like to be a reader.

Hello, Thanks for working for peace. Is a sometimes lonely feeling when a few small voices are singing next to the Fox media machine. But it was part of the solution before, and will be part of a solution and growing outrage again. Am happy to count myself among your voices. -Peace, -Tom
