A Serb, a Jap, and an Aussie play songs together. From the Love is My Velocity press release: "Made by three unassuming, very nice boys (Predrag Delibasich, Kenta McGrath and Scott Hancock), former and current members of the Soviet Valves and Mannequin, Bamodi's music has been likened several times to 90s punk rock but we think that's a little off-base. The retarded riffs and bouncing bass sound much more like something coming from the New York underground of the 70s and 80s. Bands like James Chance and the Contortions, or Mars, or Wire, or, y'know, anybody off that No New York compilation. Punk has an element of pop, and while Bamodi's music at times has a pop touch it's probably too unhinged to be called punk. So that's what it's taken for us to diverge from the sublime pop of most of our other releases – hypnotically weird, brain-shredding skaz. It's frickin' awesome."
