A banda foi formada em dezembro de 2004, (em Campinas-SP) com a proposta de criar um som próprio, direto, pesado e com letras em português. Após alguns ensaios, foi concluído o primeiro trabalho de estúdio da Banda, as músicas “Insegurança” e “Todos os Erros”. Como a Banda estava em processo de formação, e não havia encontrado um baixista, a gravação do baixo ficou a cargo do guitarrista Adriano Santos, concluindo assim a primeira etapa do projeto que depois de alguns dias passou a se chamar “Cerkelétrika”.
Para que a formação da banda se completasse definitivamente, surgiu Márcio Teodoro, que assumiu o posto de baixista, concluindo a formação oficial da banda, que conta com: Adriano Santos – Guitarra; Cristiano Quinália – Bateria; Wallace Porto – Vocal; e Márcio Teodoro – Baixo. Com a formação completa, a banda começou a trabalhar em novas composições e ensaios para apresentações ao vivo.
A primeira apresentação da banda foi em um encontro de bandas realizado na casa noturna Alles Bier (Sousas-sp), contando com um grandioso público e sendo muito bem aceita pelo público em geral. Em dezembro de 2005 os dois singles lançados pela banda, é elogiado pela revista Rock Brigade na coluna Demo Assalt (edição n° 233). A banda realizou muitas apresentações na cena underground de Campinas, tocando em lugares como o Largo do Rosário, em duas edições do Skateboard Music Festival, Alex Bar, Hangover, Concha Acústica Taquaral, Woodstock Music Bar, Hammer Rock Bar, Estação Cultura, participou também de um encontro de bandas no Fofinho Rock Clube (SP). Foi finalista do festival OFICINA DO ROCK realizado pela Oficina do Estudante em julho de 2006, onde a banda conquistou o prêmio de segundo lugar.
Em setembro de 2006 a banda foi uma das 12 finalistas dentre as 406 bandas inscritas do Brasil inteiro para o UNIFEST ROCK, (festival universitário realizado no estacionamento do Shopping Dom Pedro Campinas-SP) abrindo show para o IRA! e Detonautas. No mesmo período a banda lançou o seu primeiro EP, intitulado "Insegurança", contendo 5 faixas inéditas e mais os dois singles já lançados. Em Dezembro de 2006 a banda Cerkelétrika foi convidada a tocar no novo galpão de shows do Sesc Campinas tendo a honra de abrir o show de um dos mais respeitados nomes da música brasileira Arnaldo Antunes, no qual a banda teve o privilégio de conhecê-lo. Em 2007, a Cerkelétrika começou o ano com força total, e logo de cara com uma nova crítica da revista Rock Brigade (edição nº 246) no qual não pouparam elogios ao EP "Insegurança", dando início á um ano repleto de novidades, sendo uma delas o convite a dar entrevista sobre o EP no programa ON THE ROCKS na rádio CLIP FM (Indaiatuba-SP) sendo entravistada pelo locutor Rony Vianna.
Aos poucos a banda vem conquistando o reconhecimento do público de Campinas e região, e um dos acontecimentos mais importantes pra banda foi a realização da premiação do dia Municipal do Rock (evento realizado todos os anos em Campinas, onde 27 categorias relacionadas a música e ao rock são premiadas),e a Cerkelétrika levou quatro prêmios, sendo eles de: melhor performance em palco, melhor vocalista. melhor baterista e melhor compositor da cena independente de Campinas em 2006. Logo em seguida a Banda participou do Festival Underground realizado pela TV Rock, no Blackmore Rock Bar (São Paulo-SP), onde se apresentou com diversas bandas independentes do Brasil. E para fechar o ano de 2007 e começar 2008 com chave de ouro, a música "Revolta" que está no EP foi ao ar no programa "Veneno Vertical" da Rede Rádio Venenosa no último domingo do ano e foi transmitido para o Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte e Goiânia, e que foi apresentado pelo locutor Pedro de Luna. Além das composições próprias, a banda também executa ao vivo algumas releituras de bandas como: System of a Down, Sepultura, Nação Zumbi, iI Niño, entre outras.
A Cerkelétrika se empenha seriamente na divulgação do seu trabalho, tendo como objetivo se apresentar ao vivo mostrando uma proposta de som direta e autêntica. E a Banda espera que em 2008 continue conquistando seus objetivos, e acima de tudo, com muito profissionalismo e respeito a todos.
The band was formed in December 2004, (in Campinas-SP-BRA) with the proposal to create a sound itself, direct, heavy and with lyrics in Portuguese. After some tests, was completed the first studio work in the Band, the songs "Insecurity" and "All Errors." As the Band was in the process of training, and had not found a bassist, recording bass was made by the guitarist Adriano Santos, thus completing the first stage of the project that after a few days came to be called "Cerkelétrika".
For the formation of the band is finally complete, there Márcio Teodoro, who assumed the post of bassist, concluding the official formation of the band, which has: Adriano Santos – Electric Guitar; Cristiano Quinália Drums; Wallace Porto - Singer, and Marcio Teodoro – Bass Guitar. With the training complete, the band began working on new compositions and tests for live presentations.
The first presentation of the band was in a meeting of bands performed in nightclub Alles Bier (Sousas-SP- BRA), with a grand public and being very well accepted by the general public. In December 2005 the two singles released by the band, is praised by the magazine “Rock Brigade” Demo Assault column (edition No. 233). The band has done many presentations in the underground scene of Campinas-SP, playing in places such as Largo do Rosario, in two editions of Skateboard Music Festival, Alex Bar, Hangover, Concha Taquaral Acoustics, Woodstock Music Bar, Hammer Rock Bar, Culture Station, also participated a meeting of bands in the Fofinho Rock Club (SP). It was a finalist for OFFICE OF ROCK festival conducted by the Office of Student in July 2006, where the band won the award for second place.
In September 2006 the band was one of 12 finalists among the 406 bands entered for the whole of Brazil UNIFEST ROCK, (university festival held in the parking Shopping Pedro Campinas-SP) show opening to the IRA! and Detonautas. In the same period the band released their first EP, entitled "Insecurity", containing 5 tracks and more novel the two singles already released. In December 2006 the Cerkelétrika band was invited to play in the new hall of the concerts Sesc Campinas taking the honor of opening the show one of the most respected names in Brazilian music Arnaldo Antunes, in which the band had the privilege to meet him.
In 2007, the Cerkelétrika began the year with full force, and at once with a new critique of Rock Brigade magazine (edition nº 246) in which spared no praise for the EP "Insecurity" to start to a year full of news, and one of them an invitation to interview about the EP in the ON THE ROCKS program FM (Indaiatuba-SP).
Gradually the band is gaining the recognition of the public in Campinas and region, and one of the most important events for the band was carrying out the prize of the day the Rock Hall (event held every year in Campinas, where 27 categories related to music and the rock are rewarded), and Cerkelétrika took four awards, which were to: best performance on stage, the better singer. best drummer and composer of the best independent scene of Campinas in 2006. Then the Band participated in the Underground Festival conducted by TV Rock, in Blackmore Rock Bar (Sao Paulo-SP), where she performed with several bands independent of Brazil.
