Natalie was the San Francisco regional winner and International Finalist for the Spanish-language TV show, Objetivo Fama in 2005. She has performed locally in the San Francisco Bay Area where she grew up; nationally with shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Flower Drum Song, Children of Eden, Selena Forever; and internationally in Puerto Rico and beyond, sharing the stage with Latin artists such as Gloria Trevi, Obie Bermudez, Alvaro Torres, Jennifer Peña, and Julieta Venegas.
Most recently, Natalie has assembled AMAYA, a band of Bay Area musicians including drummer Dave Belman, guitarist Tony Peña, keyboardist Cat Brozena, and bassist Bill Doss. The band has been performing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles at private engagements and clubs such as The Red Devil Lounge, The Agave Nightclub, 12 Galaxies, La Pena Cultural Center, The Stardust Lounge, The Rock-it Room and The Great American Music Hall.
While continuing to perform bi-lingual pop/rock originals such as Angel, and Holding On, the band is currently focused on blending a variety of traditional Latin songs with contemporary styles. Amaya is well known for its hard-edged version of the flamenco standard Malagueña, as well as its playfully funky rendition of Piel Canela. The band is also known to spice things up with a shot of El Sol No Regresa and then unleash a tide of Journey. Amaya live shows are fabulous, energetic, and riveting musical experiences sure to keep you dancing and singing all the way till next Monday.
