About Punishment

Surgido em meados de 1.999, na cidade de Paraguaçu, Sul de Minas Gerais, o “Punishment", inicialmente era um projeto de Speed Metal, porém, a mistura de influências dos integrantes resultou num Thrash Metal coeso e característico, que beira o Death Metal, flertando com partes Crossover, criando um som original, lembrando diversas bandas e nenhuma ao mesmo tempo.

Inicialmente como uma idéia de Elderson Prado, Camaroon e Élson Prado, o “Punishment” durante todos esses anos passou por períodos conturbados e diversas formações até que em 2.002 estabilizou-se com Camaroon (vocais), Conrado (baixo), os irmãos Elson (guitarra) e Elderson (bateria). Com muito sacrifício em 2.002, lançou a demo intitulada “Infernal World” num processo totalmente amador e rústico, contando com os petardos: “My Lady Death”, “Anúbis - The Death’s God”, “Sengaia”, “The Man is Crazy”, “Are You What?”.

Finalmente em 2.006 regrava a demo Infernal World acrescentando as músicas “The Doom”, “House of Horror” e “Inviting The Eyes A Bright Day” dando origem ao CD independente "Enter the Punisher".

Mesmo já tendo divido palco de vários eventos, inclusive do famoso festival Roça'n Roll, com nomes consagrados como: Korzus, Torture Squad, Funeratus, Executer, Andralls e Thuatha de Danan, os clássicos: Attomica, Ratos de Porão, Stomachal Corrosion, Corpse Grinder e Expulser e sendo considerado por muitos como um nome emergente ao lado de: Securitate, Alpha Scorpii, Hell Trucker, Lothloryen, Petromyson entre outros, em 2008 o "Punishment" passa por um momento delicado, esquecido e abalado por uma série de problemas internos causados pela falta de shows e oportunidades, mas, mesmo assim, coloca no ar seu Myspace recebendo um número considerável de visitas e ótimos comentários de Headbangers de todo mundo principalmente do Sul e Nordeste do Brasil. Assim sendo, parte para o "tudo ou nada" à procura de eventos, divulgação e uma possível gravadora que resolva investir no potencial da banda, tentando não sucumbir diante das dificuldades e modismos enfrentados pela maioria das bandas underground perante promotores de eventos, imprensa e mercado fonográfico capitalistas e tendenciosos, cheio de injustiças, protecionismos e apadrinhados, que deixam em segundo plano a oportunidade de bandas emergentes, investindo única e tão somente em nomes consagrados ou financeiramente estáveis, tranformando o metal num grande jogo de interesses de uma elite dominante, desvirtuando por completo a ideologia original do movimento que colocava em primeiro lugar a arte e a evolução de se fazer som, hoje um mero detalhe, condenando ótimas bandas ao total ostracismo.

Desacreditado por muitos o “Punishment” luta por reconhecimento enfrentando todas as dificuldades para levar aos Headbangers um som verdadeiro e sincero para perpetuação do Metal dentro do cenário Underground.

Arisen in mid-1.999 in the city of Paraguaçu, south of Minas Gerais, Brazil, the "Punishment", was originally a project of Speed Metal, however, the mixture of member’s influences resulted in a Thrash Metal cohesive and distinctive, that the verge Death Metal, with shares flirting Crossover, creating an original sound, recalling various bands and none at the same time.

Initially as an idea of Elderson Prado, Camaroon and Élson Prado, the "Punishment" during all these years gone through periods troubled and various formations until Up to 2.002 stabilised with Camaroon (vocals), Conrado (bass), the brothers Elson (guitar) and Elderson (drums). With much sacrifice in 2.002, launched a demo entitled "Infernal World" in a process completely amateur and rustic, counting with hits: "My Lady Death", "Anubis - The Death's God", "Sengaia", "The Man is Crazy", "Are You What?".

Finally at 2.006 rewrites the demo Infernal World adding the songs " The Doom", "House of Horror" and "Inviting The Eyes A Bright Day" giving rise to the independent CD "Enter the Punisher".

Even having already divided the scene of several events, including the famous festival Roça'n Roll, with established names such as: Korzus, Torture Squad, Funeratus, Executer, Andralls and Thuatha de Danan, the classics: Attomica, Ratos de Porão, Stomachal Corrosion, Corpse Grinder and Expulser and is considered by many as an emerging name next to: Securitate, Alpha Scorpii, Hell Trucker, Lothloryen, Petromyson among others, in 2008 the "Punishment" passing through a delicate moment, forget and shaken by a series of internal problems caused by lack of concerts and opportunities, but still puts in the air on his Myspace and receive a considerable number of visits and Headbangers of great comments from everyone, especially the southern and northeastern of Brazil, partly for "everything or nothing" to search for events, disclosure and a possible record that sort invest in the potential of the band, trying not succumb in the face of difficulties and fashions faced by the majority of underground bands to promoters of events, press and phonographic market capitalists and biased, full of injustices, protecionisms and patronizeds, they leave in the background the opportunity of emerging bands, investing only in name as enshrined or financially stable bands, changing the metal in a big game of interests of a ruling elite, completely distort the original ideology of the movement which placed first the art and developments to be sound, today a mere detail, condemning great bands to total ostracism.

Discredited by many the "Punishment" fight for recognition facing all the difficulties to lead to a sound real Headbangers and sincere in order to perpetuate the scenario Metal Underground”.
