box are a jazz-rock, post-rock (etc) four piece from kent. we play very infrequently, and release material even more so. we have had songs featured on a few compilations, and released a few little things ourselves. there's a discography of our stuff below this if you're interested.
"suicide donner", "awesome dip session" and "back sheep driver" are recordings made in september 2005 at oli's house. we recorded them straight to stereo (using an XY pair of cheap dynamic mics and a single overhead condenser.. for anyone who's interested), so apologies for the quality. "terry" was recorded in the same way, but a fair bit later. i forget the exact date. the drum part on back sheep driver was written by matt parker who drummed with us between 1999 and 2004.

Poor Girl Noise and Room 237 Compilation – OUT NOW
This compilation features Poor Girl Noise inbredness in the form of The Twin Sister and Dec the 12th, some of our friends like Capeman!, Zelega, Guns or Knives and Jonquil (EXCLUSIVE TRACK), some bands we have put on like Riotmen and The Pluto, and Tom’s (Room 237) choice cuts of Cove, Chops and Box.
This is a hand-made release that is jam packed with football related banter, clichés and general nonsense. Each CD represents one of the 140 F.A. Cup Finals there has been, and that includes the replays. Each has a sticker with the specific F.A. Cup Final details, a pointless booklet with photos of us looking like idiots and coloured ribbon of the team that won the cup that year.
The compilation is only £3! Thats right, 3 of your finest bevy tokens.
We like football and tunes. Now take of those skinny jeans, put some short shorts on and let’s have a kick about.
cheers for the cd, it is fantastic. sorry i havent go back to you for a while...im an idiot.
But yeh...im sure i can get you on this gig no probs. will confirm soonish
