   About Damascus
The first age of Damascus(then know as a variety of different names) occured when Jesse More, Colin Poitras, Daniel Skubleny and Evan Playford decided to make a band back in 2003. All four members attended the same school and were in Grade 7 at the time. After one year we had improved dramatically moving from simple modern songs to 80’s metal and hard rock. That same year we recruited Stu Mckee, who was Colin’s long time friend, to become the face of our band and take up the microphone. During the next year we gained even more skill at playing our instruments. At this time the band decided to move on to a four piece with a singer(Stu), two guitars(Daniel and Colin) and a drummer(Jesse). 2005(Grade9) Proved to be a slow year for the band as we did not practice much. Partly because Stu attended another school and it restricted us from performing at school talent shows. 2006 proved to be the biggest year yet for the band. First and foremost we forged our identity and became known as Damascus. On top of creating a permanent name we also created out first original song(Eyes of the Enemy) after alot of hard work, determination and failed attempts. After finding the sound of Damascus we have continued to write and record. Currently we have 6 songs finished and many more one the way. We just recently played our first of many shows to come. We are here. With blistering guitar solos, melodic vocal elements combined with dual guitar harmonies and face-smashing riffs Damascus is in full charged and is ready to take the world under seige.

thanks for coming out and rockin that shit on Saturday. Wish I could have been there. As always I just book the shows and never get to see any of the bands. O well I hear that the crowd was as thick as J-lo's ass towards the second half. I hope you guys got a piece of that ass.
