Three years have past since sweetboy, Jumpin' Jim Dandy, moonshine and 8-ball found their way to the mysterious world of roots rock.
With a lot to learn and and a lot of positive energy, bandits '49 got founded.
Bringing swinging covers and some drunk entertainment, the bandits had a few verry good gigs.
Then the moonshine-drummer ran out of time and decided to leave the band, not much later guitar-player 8-ball followed him...
The search was on ! !
We met a new youngblood drummer that goes by the name of 'Magic'.
By the first encounter with this young dude, we'd knew he was something special, so magic joined in.
Still, we hadn't found a second gunslinger on guitar, so sweetboy pulled some strings and ran into a young man we now call 'the ramblin' man' . . .
This cool cat was just what the band needed, a true rocker in heart and soul, and one hell of a guitar-player.
We played a lot of cool and fantastic gigs, people liked what we did and we enjoyed it.
But ramblin' man was offered the chance of a lifetime when he was contacted by Mark Spreckley from the 'Rhumba Kings' to join his band... so he did.
Who could blame him ...
So our ways parted and killer, magic and sweetboy decided to try something completely different.
We cut clean with the name bandits '49 and all it stood for...
The Black Cat Bone Squad was born out of the ashes of bandits '49 .
Mixing all of our influences together, from country over ass-shakin'-ska-blues-punk-hip-to-the-bone-polka-billy to kick ass rock 'n' roll.
The Black Cat Bone Squad don't fit into the regular music-styles,they've got something in their gig-bag for everybody.
It don't matter if you like blues, country, rockabilly,... we've use it all.
Meanwhile ramblin' man is the brother in law of killer and our secondhand guitar-player in our home-studio (so he's still kinda part of the band...)
Even though we still miss him on stage, but we all have to do what we gotta do, right?
None of us will know what the future will bring, but till now, everything is cool.
We're havin' a ball when we do what we love to do, playin' music and entertain you.
That's all that matters in the end,... isn't it?
