Lick is a pop-rockband from Deventer, the Netherlands.
It was founded by Richell and Nolle in December 2006. Soon, a bass guitarist and drummer were needed and Stijn and Beinte joined the band. The four of them performed at Spijkerpop 2007 under the name ‘the States’. In September 2007, Japse joined the band. Along with him came a new name: ‘Cinnamon Lips & Candy Kisses’. To complete the band, Douwe joined to take care of the business side of the band. In November 2007, the band changed it’s name for the last time. From that point the band has been playing under the name: Lick. With the help of Erik Delobel (Burgerweeshuis) and Maurits (GEM), Lick started working on their first single: Pretty Girl. The single was released on the 9th of January 2009.
