Luzazul is a band that comes from The Netherlands, and which combines influences from different worlds. Brazil, Flamenco, Portuguese Fado, African and groovy organic beats come together and form a passionate and warm sound, original and unique.
The virtuos flamenco guitar, the characteristic sound of the wurlitzer, groovy bass and subtle rhythms, together with the warm voice of Magda Mendes, form the basis of the sound of Luzazul. The Portuguese/Dutch band, brought together by Martijn Morselt, has released an impressive debut CD.
A CD with intimate world songs, varying from delicious sunny to melancholic passion, and which was received by de media with enthusiasm (see de reviews under mail)
For the live performances Luzazul has formed a very strong band, with the spicy flamenco guitarist Alain Labrie (Da Gaia, Labryenco), pianist/keyboard player Emiel van Rijthoven (Sensual) en groovy percussionists Udo Demandt (Primos del Norte, Monsieur Dubois) and Roel Calister (At’awó, Orange Groove, Izaline Calister).

World Connection has signed a brand new artist. His name is Neco Novellas. He plays with two brothers and two sisters. It's a family affair! The music is both funky and smooth and a blend of Mozambican melodies and grooves.
