[I Monroe] traggono il loro nome proprio da Marilyn quale icona della trasgressività ed allo stesso tempo della finezza, entrambe caratteristiche importanti nella musica della band. Le varie influenze musicali dei 4 componenti si ritrovano così, in un rock raffinato e graffiante che si rifà alla scena musicale odierna d’oltreoceano ma con testi in italiano. Per anni si esibiscono regolarmente nei più noti locali della Romagna. Ottengono riconoscimenti in concorsi di rilievo nazionale quali Sanremo Rock, TourMusic Fest,Heineken PrimaveraLiveFestival ed altri. Nel 2007 durante l’edizione invernale del Music Village (ESP sound promotion) alla quale partecipano, vengono notati da Ronny Aglietti con cui entrano in studio nella primavera del 2008. Il frutto del lavoro con Aglietti è il ‘Il fiore di plastica’, il primo EP della band contenente 4 brani, che uscirà il 6 Settembre 2008. Durante l’estate firmano inoltre un contratto di distribuzione digitale con Pirames International vedendo così il loro EP distribuito su tutti i più importanti store digitali. [Monroe] take their name by the trasgressive & finesse icon Marylin, both important features in the music of the band. The various musical influences of the 4 components are thus in a refined rock, that builds on the music scene today overseas but with texts in Italian. For years, performing regularly in several local in Romagna. They get awards in competitions of national importance such as San Remo Rock, Tour Music Fest and other. In 2007, during the winter edition of Music Village (ESP sound promotion) are noted by Ronny Aglietti with which come in the studio in the spring of 2008. The result of work with Aglietti is “Il fiore di plastica”, the first EP of the band containing 4 songs, will be out on 6th September 2008.
