Dublin based FRESNO formed in 2002 with the aim of writing diverse but accessible rock music. Their debut EP "Now that you know me" was released in May '03 to critical acclaim.
Their uplifting sound and captivating live performances quickly made an impact on the music scene, with fresno being named one of Ireland's most promising acts by hotpress, alongside Relish and Gemma Hayes. Attention from international acts followed with the band invited to support John Mayer, the Barenaked Ladies and Powderfinger. The FRESNO sound has been described as a guitar driven blend of melody and melancoly, with influences ranging from jeff buckley to the mars volta. The band are currently recording their debut album which is expected in early 2006.
