BAND OF RAIN , are gorgeous . . not just as people but as musically ...Each cd an adventure in its own right.Every song a journey of immense variation.
ARTS AND ALLUREMENTS is my fave,but I love that soft GOTHIC textured syle sooo much,so I cant help sticking that on its own PEDASTAL. . . .I must compare this album alone.Im putting this up there with the likes of the best releases of INKUBUS SUKKUBUS . . . ARTS AND ALLUREMENTS . . Is GOTHIC ROCK at is most sculptured . . It is PAGAN in its own rites. What a daringly different release,for Band of Rain,compared to the Psychedelic sound scapes that we,the Chris Gill fan club are used too . . . . . . No complaints here though. I hope that this direction can be revisited someday . . ..Sharon Leslie has an amzing voice and is Goth,right the way through..Just like a stick of BRIGHTON ROCK,on an Overcast day . . .Sensual,sensitive and ever so slightly menacing.When she speaks of Vampires,you believe . . . . I love ARTS AND ALLUREMENTS ,and I believe . . . This is a stark and beautiful cd.Reach out and grab a copy before it is dragged into the Underworld for ever . . .
