Evershot village hall is over eighty years old and has long been regarded as an excellent venue for live music. The tardis-like corrugated iron building reveals an inside clad with timber creating ideal acoustics for any live performance. A capacity of 200 gives performers and audience a chance to feel part of the intimate atmosphere the hall creates.
All bands put on by the BAND-ON committee are accompanied by a licensed bar serving draught real ale, draught lager, scrumpy, a range of wines, spirits and soft drinks.
Over the years many people have promoted bands at Evershot, including Val Crabb, Eva Harvey, Colin Browning and Chad Cardale. Without the hard work that these people put in, we would not have experienced such bands as Jucie on the Loose, Rocket 88, Ben Waters, Billy Bragg, The Electric Bluebirds, Blues 'n' Trouble, The Balham Alligators, Ron Kavana, The Producers, Achta, Mercury Kicks, Fat Marrow Blues Band, Dr Stomp, Flakey Jake, Diz Watson, Aynsley Lister, Bill Thomas, Robyn Hitchcock, The Three Daft Monkeys, Boy Le Monti and PJ Harvey.
Our aim is to provide a lively mix of music that you can Dance to. BAND-ON is a voluntary organisation, all monies raised at these gigs go to village hall funds.
If you have never seen a band in Evershot, give yourself a treat and come and join the party!!!!
