"Music is the ultimate healer" - Andrew McMahon
19 Florida bands playing the Florida Warped Tour shows August 4th-7th have joined together, with LA's Bleed the Dream, to release a CD compilation whose proceeds will benefit Pediatric Cancer Research and to encourage blood donation.
Bands Doing Battle was formed as a result of Andrew McMahon(Something Corporate/Jack's Mannequin)'s recent diagnosis of acute lymphatic leukemia and his call encouraging visits to local blood banks and that donations be made to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation http://www.pcrf-kids.com
In addition to supporting Andrew, this compilation is also dedicated to the spirit and memory of Scott Gottlieb, the Bleed The Dream drummer, who lost his battle to cancer in April 2005.
While Andrew is well on his way to recovery, like Scott Gottlieb, Brad, the bass player from Close to Home, had no medical insurance and lost is battle October 6th, 2006 Brad Andress from Close to Home

Same bunch of people are running another contest, and we'd be coming out there again for a BOTB to play the PacTour. So if you wanna' get us out there, click the box, register, and vote every day or whatever. But yeah... it'd be a good gig for us, so help us out eh? Thanks - Kc & I.E.
