Hakkımda: The website www.bandsinlancaster.co.uk was a free service the aim of which was to promote all live music, especially the free stuff in pubs. The site is no longer active, however it still carries links to the music forum and another website, Beside The Seaside, which has full daily listings of what's on.
Kimle tanışmak isterim: We only accept friends requests from bands and musicians who gig locally. Sorry but we will refuse requests from individuals who that doesn't apply to. Anyone wanting to book performers are welcome to use our friends' list to search for local bands, duos or solo acts.

Yes thanks - we didn't recognise the place! Some of the grumpiness and filth and moved on and it was nice to play in a pub with a new lease of life (A rarity these days) Look forward to seeing you! Rascs x
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for putting our gig on your site. You don't know how much it meant to us. Looking forward to the gig and helping us out will make it all the better. I think it is great what you do.
In view of what has happened to the fellas that run the site at the hands of the owners of the John O'Gaunt, I seriously think that bands should be looking to boycott playing the venue until the owners get the message that they cannot treat people that way.
Seriously, paying a promoter less than £3 a week and expecting them to handle all calls and posters etc is bad enough, then to cancel the entire programme on a whim is reprhensible.
Yes the Gaunt has a great tradition for live music and yes, it's a fantastic pub BUT...
We are only as strong as each other, letting them treat bands and promoters like that means that we set ourselves up to be treated the same way and give a green light for other venues to do the same.
That is a dangerous road to take.
I would just like to finish by saying that this is NOT an attack on Darren or his staff at the Gaunt, this is aimed at the OWNERS not the management.
