In the days of unstable bands, spineless message boards, the lack of community, ever changing music trends and unnecessary "rockstar" attitudes, it looks like hardcore has almost lost its spirit and has become more adapted to the norms of society with its false ideals and values. BandsOnFire has decided not to give in to this ongoing downward spiral.
We see a need for a positive website that gives hope to this dying world, to all of the music subcultures (metal, hardcore, emo) and beyond. We want to spread a hope that cannot be found in earthly things, but only in a relationship with God - the only God, the one who cares about everyone’s personal needs physically and spiritually.
The so-called "spirit-filled hard music scene" grows more and more in the USA, yet European bands are still unknown. With BandsOnFire we want to build a consciousness for European spirit-filled hard music without dividing the scene into "Christian" and "non-Christian". In this approach we also support bands that are not 100% Christians like Today Forever for example. They prove that it is possible to respect eachother’s differences while having fun playing music.
The focus of BandsOnFire is on European and international bands alike, as we want to help build a worldwide consciousness in hard music that is Christ-centered. While posting all the latest news and tour dates for European countries and doing interviews with bands that are active in Europe, our goal is that the hard music listener may get to know great bands and through that gain a proper view of what it means to know God personally and to build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Jesus in Matthew 18:19-20:
"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done, for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
"Bow Before The Scene" is a day of uniting hardcore Christians all around the world in prayer. The "scene" is ever changing, once it was about community, now it's so often about clichés and show. We must revive the true heart of the scene and pray for God’s power to strengthen the spirit-filled hardmusic community and bring glory to His kingdom. We must unite to make a difference on a spiritual level and pray for change and for God’s Holy Spirit to shine.
"Bow Before The Scene" takes place every first Saturday of each month, simply one day a month you can set aside for prayer for spirit-filled bands. Pray that the bands stay strong in the spirit. Pray that they aquire the resources needed to spread the love of God throughout the world. Pray that more bands rise up to give glory to God. Pray that more people will come to know Jesus through spirit-filled music. Let us pray worldwide as a community and begin to see amazing blessings for the scene!
