Our bandname, Take-Cover, can be intepreted in different ways. First ofcourse the literaly meaning..just Take Cover! That for example because of the sometimes more rough covers we play, but that is something we let the public decide for themselves.
Second you can read it as a film 'take'..which we name 'cover' (cause that's what we play: covers).
The line up?
Take-Cover is a young coverband from Doetinchem, and exists of 5 persons with the ages from 18 till 23 years. The line up is:
Linda Noteboom - Lead vocals & Acoustic guitar
André Franken - Electric and Acoustic guitar
Dion Baars - Keys & b. vocals
Niek Haverkate - Drums
Robert Ruesink - Bassguitar & b. vocals
What about our repetoire?
As told before we play covers. What kind of covers we play is very variable: We like to play many different styles of music, our repetoire starts with lay-back popsongs and ends somewhere in alternative hardrock... Because every bandmember has another favourite type of music, we all have another input in our repetoire.
Because our repetoire is very variable we hope to create an own face and also to be able to entertain much more types of public.
To name something we play: Anouk, Melissa Etheridge, Greenday, Blur, Dire Straits, Metallica....etc.
Band-History?
"Take-Cover" in this form has started september 2006. The band itselve does already exist longer, but was first named Bizzar.
Because of some changes in bandmembers, and also in what we wanted to do with the band, we decided to give the band a new name, so Take-Cover was born.
Robert is the last who joined Take-Cover, october 2007.
