The Fender Music Foundation is a public nonprofit organization created to provide funding and resources for music education programs across America so that kids and adults alike will have an opportunity to experience the joys of making music. Instruments and equipment are granted to programs throughout the year to school music programs, after-school music programs and music therapy programs.
LOS ANGELES, April 1, 2009 – Today The Fender Music Foundation and music discovery website thesixtyone.com announce the release of the benefit album Band Together 2. All proceeds from sale of the album, which is available through top electronic stores like iTunes and Amazon.com, will support music education programs through the Foundation.
Band Together 2 features fifteen tracks from rock and pop artists in the United States, the UK, Canada and Australia.
“We are excited these artists have chosen to use their music to make a difference,” shares Moriah Harris-Rodger, the Executive Director of the The Fender Music Foundation. “Each five albums sold will put a guitar in a classroom; for every 50 sold, we will be able to outfit a program with an entire keyboard lab.”
The final product is the result of a month-long contest through thesixtyone.com, which offered its online platform for free. After members of the site voted and narrowed the field to fifty finalists, a judging panel chose the final tracklist. That panel was composed of Kina Grannis, a singer/songwriter signed to Interscope Records and a 2007 Band Together contributor; Terra Naomi, a singer/songwriter that won the inaugural YouTube Music Award for her video “Say It’s Possible;” and Dave Appelbaum and Nick Block, co-founders of the music service SponsorSync.
“This was a natural fit for our website,” explains James Miao, co-founder of thesixtyone.com. “thesixtyone is a great place to listen to, rate and discover new musicians within a fun and interactive system. This album demonstrates the quality and variety of the artists that our community members discover each day.”
To listen to and purchase the album, visit iTunes, Amazon.com or other top online music retailers and search for “Band Together 2.”

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks

well, it has been a long and winding road, and an even longer time coming, but my debut CD, I Remember, is FINALLY HERE!!! YAY!!!!!
to celebrate, American HeartBeat Records(tm) has arranged a FREE DOWNLOAD of Now Is The Time in exchange for a valid email address. Now Is The Time is a brand new, upbeat song I wrote: we are living in turbulent times. suddenly it is okay to be greedy and heartless? no way! a song of hope for our future, a new vision of America and the world.
we have a bunch of exciting things planned to kick this whole thing off, and we need to get a better picture of who our friends are, so the FREE DOWNLOAD form will ask you a few questions, like, what is your country and nearest major city. it all takes maybe 15 seconds.
anyhoo, the FREE DOWNLOAD, and the FUN, begins at www.JAETCHISON.com
I look forward to getting to know you a little better, and I thank you SO VERY MUCH for your friendship and support!
please tell your friends about JAETCHISON.com, and ask them to sign up for the email list, too! FUN things are coming up!!
