KISS KISS BANG BANG is in your extended network view more
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was an accident just waiting to happen - the two met at a gig one night as the last girls standing and promptly shoved the DJ of the decks, topped up their JD and coke and held their own private party in a dingy east London basement. They cut their DJing
tooth at venues in London town playing alongside NIYI, The Kooks, Ali Love, The Thoughtless Hussies, The Tings Tings and The Mighty Boosh DJ's to name a few.
Another 'happy accident' involving an unscrupulous promoter, saw the girls thrown in at the deep end with a night to pull off at 93 Feet East, on Glastonbury weekend with no line up and only a few days to go. Fluttering eyelids, bribes and a few dozen bottles of rum later they pulled together a line up to die for and raised the roof in style. So much so, 93 asked if they could do that every month - and they could only say yes!
With Madam Bang Bangs's infectious enthusiasm for 4 boys in a band punk stylie, and Miss Kiss Kiss' love for all things dance and alternative, the combination ensures their nights are packed full of the best independent bands, unlikely surprises and the hottest vinyl wrecking DJs on the circuit - KKBB world domination is growing it can only get bigger.
Past ground breaking events have seen the girls showcasing some of London's best new talent with live performances from Look See Proof, Man Like Me, Professor Green, Underground Heroes, The Knaves, The Toy Guns, The Fatels, Spektrum, The Skallywags, This City, James Yuill, Paloma Faith and Animal Kingdom amongst soooo many others. With floor shacking DJ sets from Altern8, The Mystery Jets, resident DJ Shimmy, data.select.party, Matt Carter (Haywire), Transparent Sound (Fabric) and Richard 'Bibbs' Haywood.
The girls have lots more planned in 2008 with hotly tipped new acts and DJ's.
Also look out for the girls nights at The Old Blue Last and The New Rose, where they also run a regular 'boys in the band' night and their DJ sets - which are always packed full of the best new tunes, behind the decks dancing, drinking and lots of fun!

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!

* Chuckles is the music maker letting loose swingalicious delights that are lyrical and jazzy yet they bounce like hip hop.
* Mr Bruce is a modern day dandy whose singing (and dancing) is equally difficult to categorise. He is an eloquent MC who scats and sings like a cabaret compère about clowns, rogues and two tone brogues.
He will be joined on stage by the exquisite Wendy Rose and the naughty harlequin Precious Isis.

I went to this band's myspace and they advertise gigs on there. They're incredibly cheap ;0) i don't know how they do it, but it's only like a 5er (excilerating!). I think they probably use Indian child labour but anyway... i can't believe they put these pictures of themselves up there neither :-O
I mean what were they thinking!!! You should really go to one of their gigs...
PORTMAN - Release their debut album “From Here To Your Eyes And Ears" on March 3rd. The album is available to stream right now on their Myspace Page and to Pre-Order Right Here. Check it out!
