BANGERS & MASH SATURDAY’S AT THE GARAGE, ISLINGTON
Bangers & Mash have ventured to Highbury, to launch their Saturday nights at the newly refurbished, ‘Garage’. Having defined the North London scene in the Mid 90’s, the Garage is back, bigger (quite literally at 850 capacity) and better than ever. NME describe the sound system as 'The Best In London' and they have already hosted shows for Bloc Party, Kasabian and Ian Brown. Bangers & Mash promise to follow suit. Coming up are...

Sounds-wise, expect anything from the 50’s through to the freshest upfront music of today - policy is anything Indie, Rock ‘N’ Roll and Electronica to Hiphop, Funk, Ska and Motown with residents Emily Rawson, James Theaker (NME) and Jimmy Napes. Weekly guest bands from the music world will spin tracks, together with live performances by hotly tipped bands for the future. Expect free Props, Live Caricature and Face Art, Games & A photo booth. Rokit Vintage Stores will also be in the house giving away some fancies and entertaining.
One of the new features of the refurbishment is a spectacular upstairs area. True Romance will look after the party in here, where they will host some of London’s most exciting DJs including Flash Louis (MTV / BBC Switch), Eliza Doolittle, The Baker, Bip Ling and The Kids. Sounds in here are anything Old Skool Hiphop, Funk, Swing, Motown and Soul as well as live performance art.

The night will bring together music lovers from across London and mystify them with an array of entertainment – expect cutting edge live bands, face art, games and a thoroughly entertaining brand spanking new video box courtesy of Who’s Jack Magazine. Spitalfields based Boutique Salon Pimps & Pin Ups will also be in the house to style your locks anyway you like – wheather you want a perm or the full on Britney shave, they’ve got it covered.
Sounds are anything Rock ‘N’ Roll to Hip Hop supplied by our residents Flash Louis (MTV/BBC), Eliza Doolittle, Emily Rawson, Bip Ling & The Kids plus weekly guest Djs from the music world.

Live Graffti art is courtesy of our man Rodolfo from Sao Paulo, plus outrageous live visuals, face art & bundles more totally free stuff to keep you grinning ear to ear & probably want to kiss us.
