Bandwagon are a three-piece rock band from Lisburn, N.Ireland. Harking back to the golden days of Classic Rock the band influences include Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy & Led Zeppelin playing Classic 70’s Rock with a modern twist.
Lead Guitarist Phil Edgar & Drummer Phil McKibben formed the band in March 2008. After a line up change which saw 2 members leave the band, bassist Joe McQuillan joined and the new three piece line up was unveiled at The Empire in December 2008.
Bandwagon are rapidly gaining a name for themselves playing gigs all over Ireland and in their short career have managed to land some prestigious support slots, supporting The Answer, Glyder, Pat McManus, PAY*OLA and have also been asked to support recently re-formed Eighties Welsh Glam Metal band TIGERTAILZ in their only Irish show in Oct.2009.
The bands musical ability and song writing skills are undeniable, but it is onstage playing live where the band really come into their own. Blistering solos, Catchy guitar riffs and soulful lyrics are all part of a Bandwagon show.
The band are currently working hard on their debut EP which should be ready for release later in the year.
