About me:
THE FISRT BANGOR BLUES JAM WAS A RUNAWAY SUCCESS!!!! THANX TO ALL THE MUSICIANS, SINGERS AND OF COURSE THE AUDIENCE WHO CAME THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR. OVER A DOZEN ARTISTS GRACED OUR STAGE ON THE FIRST NIGHT. AND MAN, WHAT A NIGHT IT WAS! SPECIAL THANX TO LEE HEDLEY AND GEORGE MCCAUSLAND FOR THEIR UNWAVERING SUPPORT ON THE RUN UP TO 6TH MAY. North Down's biggest Blues night is a monthly event, held on the first Tuesday of every month in The Imperial Bar(thanks to George), Central Avenue in sunny Bangor by the sea. The Pontiax Blues Band are the five piece Chicago outfit who will drive the jam. All you gotta do is come on in and join the fun. We want you come along and lose your inhibitions and leave your Blues at the door.
Doesn't matter who you are, if you join in or just wanna sit back and chill out, we got a place for you. Maybe there's someone out there who plays guitar like Stevie Ray or Buddy Guy?? Or is there a potential Jonny Johnston or Pinetop Perkins who's been tinklin' the keys in the bedroom for too long on their own?? Can you sing like Howlin' Wolf??? No??? Good!!! Cos neither can I :-) Perhaps you blow a mean harp but have never took the step and joined a band?? Well we got a lil place for you at The Imperial!! If you're up for it, then get up for a couple and do your thang!!!
