Daniel has also toured with artists including David Peterson and 1946, Charlie Sizemore, Tim Graves, Luke McKnight, Rhonda Vincent, Wildfire, David Davis, and Larry Cordel. With his new album "Aprils Fool", Daniel proves to be a stylist.

"This solo project will attest to his ability with the banjo. He has made himself into a fine player. He has all the basic "licks" plus some originality, and he learns very quickly. When combined, these ingredients will create a style..one which you, the listener and player, will recognize as soon as he begins playing".

"Among our finest young banjoists, East Tennessess's Daniel Grindstaff, looks to the past for his inspiration, but brings personality and a fresh approach to bluegrass. He's Popping the strings one moment, coaxing out an emotive turn the next. With cracking guest vocals, Grindstaff demonstrates that he's a player of determination and character. "Aprils Fool" artfully captures his vision of bluegrass."

You talked to so many people tonight in Orange Park at First Baptist Church so you won't remember me saying this but your high harmonies really do just make the band for me and just adds so much to each song...along with the great banjo playing, of course :) Thanks for coming out and playing for us! ...and as for your name... I know another Daniel Grindstaff - who would think I'd hear that name twice?? :)
Hey, I picked with Sam Jackson last weekend...I had a good time at Poppy Mountain - did you? Wish we could have all picked alittle more behind stage, but you sounded great as always!
Man you are lucky to get to play with Marty. I like his CD and especially the Gospel songs. There is one he sings with Sonya Isaacs that I really like "I'll be your everything". He picked a great singer to sing with him on that one!!!Appreciate the friendship and I do hope to come see you all sometime!!
I'm doing great thanks. I hope you are doing well. I'll be starting pharmacy school in Johnson City at the beginning of August. Hope to run into you again soon!
hey Daniel! Glad to hear from you. Looks like you are doing great :) I fianlly finished college and currently trying to get a teaching job. Hope to hear back from you soon.
