HELP PUT THE STANLEY BROTHERS IN THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME!
Ralph Stanley has received many well-deserved honors in the last few years, yet one honor eludes him. While many of their fellow musicians and singers have been recognized by The Country Music Hall of Fame, THE STANLEY BROTHERS have been sadly -- some say criminally -- overlooked.
Jeanie Stanley, youngest daugher of Carter, and fan Kaye Hill have organized an on-going petition to change all that.
"The Country Music Hall of Fame recognizes those persons who have made a significant contribution to the country music field," says Hill. "The Stanley Brothers helped lay the foundation for what we have today. Their names deserve to be listed among greats like Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, who have already be recognized."
You can join their efforts in one of the following ways:
Contact the CMHoF directly:
Mr. Kyle Young, President
Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum
222 Fifth Avenue South
Nashville TN 37203
Or, if you prefer, you can send a letter to Kaye Hill, who will forward them to the HoF.

Kay says, "a simple one-line note is all that would be required, but please remember to supply your name and address, and an email address if applicable. I will be collecting all letters and forwarding them to the Country Music Hall of Fame."
Thanks for bein` my banjo buddy. I met you briefly at Uncle Dave Macon Days this year before the banjo contest. I was the one that came up talking about swapping a Roy Acuff square dance music cd with you by mail for one of your cd`s, then it turned out your husband had actually done the swappin`. Well??? Have you got to listen to it yet?? It was fun meeting you down there, wish we could have visited a little more----Allen.
Mary Z. I love your music, truely love it. I think I've reached the promise land of banjo music, and music altogether. Well your CD's are great. I especially love Banjo dreaming with the guitar and Banjo together sounds freekin sweet. Well keep on jamming with that style, nothing beats it. Later Mary.

I also ordered a Bascom LAmar Lunsford CD.......I really love his music too....and I really want to learn to play..I wish I was a mole in the Ground...is that double C tuning? I also got some Nylgut strings they sound pretty good...what kind of strings do you like using to make that old Banjo sound? I wouldn't mind getting some Real Gut strings but I can't find um anywhere. Well take Care Mary.
