My job, puppy, and other responsibilities often stand in the way of my pursuit of these, but I have a lifelong passion to become a good banjo player, and learn enough about guitar to really enjoy it. My other passions are anything camping related, and the study and enjoyment of fireflies, wildflowers and other living jewels of the natural world. I love to write and have kept journals all of my life, I'm a book and CD junkie but am at least more selective and expect my collection to dwindle rather than increase as life goes on.I love collecting anything that might look sweet in the cabin I'm gonna live in someday.

I grew up listening to my parents sing all of the love songs of their era and they were avid record collectors. I woke up often to dixieland jazz blaring in my ears to my dad's amusement, but he also introduced me to The Brothers Four awakening my love of folk music.I will always feel that "Dust in the Wind" is one of the greatest songs ever written, and "Kind of a Drag" will always make me cry.. but then I discovered Emmylou Harris, and that changed my course. My present life is so consumed with the love of old time music. Fortunately people who care about my intellectual growth make sure that I am exposed to a healthy dose of jazz,blues, old country, bluegrass, and alternative rock.Where would I be without you?

Also my teachers Mrs Albertson and Miss Johnson who read out loud "Little House on the Prairie" and "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" in class each day....and the many nurses, respiratory therapists, and doctors who keep the tiny babies I care for alive and get a fraction of the recognition that they deserve.
