   About Banned Loot

Contributing to the NECC (New England Christian Coffeehouses), our debut full length album "TAKE REFUGE" is now available, and our second album is in the works.

We hope you like the songs we have up here for you, thanks for checking out Banned Loot! The songs are all off of our first album, "Take Refuge". However, we are currently well on our way to bring you our new album, "Because You're Loved", which we hope to release summer 2008!

BANNED LOOT NEWS - 2/14/08
Hello everyone! It sure has been a while still, hasn't it? Banned Loot has seen a turbulent road this past year, something we're glad to say we have now overcome!
For a while we reached a position where the band itself was on the fritz - the possibility of disbanding even reached some of our minds. John, our former bassist, had quit, and with other life obligations it seemed that Banned Loot was done for. After a few outdoor shows last summer, and early autumn, we saw fit to pursue other life goals. The band had all but broken apart.
However, Dave had been attending church with Mike (bass) and Ben (keys). They showed interest in performing with Banned Loot, and to take a stab at the material. With nothing to lose, we all met up at Mike Smith's house and gave every song a run-through.
It was at these couple practices where, for the first time in a long time, Banned Loot felt like a complete, functioning band once again. Mike's talent as a bassist and Ben's ambitious and progressive style gave Banned Loot a new twist that we have never seen before. These elements have allowed us to develop even further a style that while we haven't quite realized, know it has the potential to be something incredible
We have played a couple shows together as a six-piece, and needless to say, they proved that Banned Loot has quite possibly found the combination and the talent that can reach listeners like never before. Already we've been utilizing the old and new material with piano and revised bass lines, and these songs have been updated on our myspace and our albums... for good. Say hello to a new Banned Loot, one that promises musical intensity, powerful spiritual message, and as always, a performance and style that will no longer be ignored. Because You're Loved will be completed soon, we aim for summer this year. But because we have two new fresh minds and a whole new limitless amount of talent to draw from, we have already spoken of writing once more.

Thank you, and be sure to get your copy of TAKE REFUGE!

For God so Loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.John 3:16, 17

Hi Banned Loot

Thanks for adding ServantSong as your friend!

In case anybody in New England is reading this, I'm just trying to get the word out here about our coffeehouse this Friday night, August 17, at the Father Marot CYO Center on 53 Federal St. In Woonsocket, RI, 02895. It's sponsered by Mike Tellier and Psalm 150. It'll run from about 7pm to 9pm. We're really excited to debut our new "Road to Paradise" format. It's going to be a great night!

For those of you reading this that don't know us, we are a Contemporary Christian / Catholic Pop / Rock Praise & Worship band. Our music takes you on an emotional journey of highs, lows, sorrow, joy, and everything in between that ultimately ends in the happiness of eternal life with Jesus. We recently released our debut album entitled Glory Be. We sound like Amy Grant and Rebecca St. James. Come on over and enjoy our tunes!
