The big one for us this week is the UK release from All Time Low. Banquet is the UK store for them and we're doing a CD AND T-SHIRT DEAL for only £11. Summer-sounding massive pop-punk/emo anthems now getting the attention they deserve. Wonderfully they're also coming to play for us in October. Lots more out this week tho, including singles from Skream, Florence And The Machine, Gossip, Chromeo and albums from Thrice, You Me At Six, Fat Freddy's Drop and of course plenty more.

Loads of shows on the horizon particularly as we hit the new academic year for Kingston University. This week we have the brilliant Kid Harpoon playing in-store and at new slang for us, on Friday we have one of the best hardcore/punk shows of the year happening at The Peel with Paint It Black, Ceremony, The Steal and Our Time Down Here. And then on Saturday we launch our new Saturday night club night D.A.N.C.E. This is gonna be the big night out and with a whole bunch of guests adding to the mix you'll never be short of ideas for a Saturday night.

This week is Sean Haughton's last week with us. He's the guy who does most of the updates to the website/FB etc and is a good punk dude who was helping us out long before he started working here and no doubt will continue to do so in his new life in Leeds. We wish him well. Leaving do's and don'ts will be at New Slang on Thursday and The Peel on Friday.
