About me:

I am the founder, songwriter and lead guitarist for the heavy metal band Banshee from Kansas City. We released three albums in the late 80's and early 90's. We were also featured on MTV; ranking in the Top 30 on Headbangers Ball. Banshee is also on MySpace at MySpace.com/BansheeRocks I am currently writing Banshee's fourth album; Halls of Karma. Look for it in 2010 followed by a tour.

I have recently completed filming episodes of The Exterminators on A&E which will air when season two begins in February 2010. I wrote a few songs for Mary Bretherton, Billy's wife on the show. Mary and I worked on one of the songs and completed a rough demo while I was in Louisiana in July and I will be returning again, in September, to finish that off in the studio along with a music video.

I also teach guitar to students at The Music Station in Cadillac, Michigan where I live. It's a great little town in northern Michigan that I fell in love with while vacationing a few years back. Good people and a laid back lifestyle away from the pitfalls of big city life.

You can check out some of my solo project work I did in the mid-1990's on my music profile page: MySpace.com/TerryDunn - I have uploaded 8 songs I've dug up from after Banshee's Take 'em By Storm album. Enjoy!

I want to thank all my friends and fans that have been so supportive and believed in me up to and beyond this point in my life. Without you, I would not be who I am now.

Below is a Banshee video called 'Shoot Down The Night, a song on our 'Race Against Time' album released in 1989. It was in the top 30 on MTV's Headbangers Ball for quite some time. Yes, that's me playing guitar on the left.

    The king's daughter
Once upon a time there lived a king. The king had a beautiful daughter. But there was a problem. Everything the princess touched would melt. No matter what; metal, wood, plastic -- anything she touched would melt. Because of this, men were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her. The king despaired. What could he do to help his daughter? He consulted his
wizards and magicians. One wizard told the king, "If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in her hands, she will be cured." The king was overjoyed. The next day, he held a competition. Any man that could bring his daughter an object that would not melt would marry her and inherit the king's wealth. Three young princes took up the challenge. The first prince brought a very hard alloy of titanium. But alas, once the princess touched it, it melted. The prince went away sadly. The second prince brought a huge diamond, thinking that diamond is the hardest substance in the world and would not melt. But alas, once the princess touched it, it melted. He too was sent away disappointed. The third prince approached. He told the princess, "Put your hand in my pocket and feel what is in there." The princess did as she was told, though she turned red. She held it in her hand. And it did not melt!!! The king was overjoyed. Everybody in the kingdom was overjoyed. And the
third prince married the princess and they both lived happily ever after.

Question: What was the object in the prince's pants?

They were M&M's of course. They melt in your mouth, not in your hand. (What were you thinking?)

Something scary happened late one night when I took my grandmother home. After dropping her off, I was ready to pull out of the driveway and had to wait for a car to pass by -- but suddenly, it disappeared. I got scared so I wanted to go inside of my grandmother's house. When I was turning off my headlights, I saw a man standing right in front of my car, staring at me. When he put his hand on the hood, it passed right through. He disappeared and then I freaked out and locked all of the doors. I wanted to go home but the car wouldn't start and I was too scared to get out. I called my brother and told him what I saw but he started making fun of me so I called my mom. She called a man with a tow truck and came with him. The next day, I went to the mechanic and asked him what was wrong with my car. He told me that someone tore all the wires out of the engine. Since then, I never drive alone at night. This happened about four years ago and it still scares me.
