Banyan is an art rock band with heavy jazz and punk influence based in Los Angeles, CA. The core of the group features Stephen Perkins (Janes Addiction & Porno For Pyros) on drums and Willie Waldman (Memphis Horns & Snoop Doggie Dog) on Trumpet. The rest of the roster is a rotating of amazing guest musicians listed on the left.

I also want to let you guys know, that the vibes you sent through the forrest trade, lured me in like a magical ocarina. The sent was incredible, and if they hadnt scheduled you guys so poorly, Id like to think your stage would have been the place to be. YOu guys got a great unique sound, and one of the better shows i witnessed at scamp. U guys realllly need to get on facebook tho!!

Would've posted this much sooner, but just now got added. Thanks for that, by the way. Good lord... it's like a month later and I'm still in awe of the show at The Mint. That was one of the greatest displays of musical beauty I've ever seen in my entire life.. and I've been going to shows for almost 30 years now. Didn't know what to expect when I walked in the door... but I had my mind good and blown. Just freaking amazing stuff... and that's not exaggeration or butt-smoke blowing. So yeah... thank you, thank you, thank you... you guys took my totally jaded soul and flipped it upside down. You have my deepest gratitude. Can't wait 'til next time. -C
