The BANZAI Underground was formed during the
spring of 2005 by members of three D.C. area bands
Jar of Souls, 495, and Sunburn
The BANZAI Underground has a monster song list
and we pick high energy songs that people can dance
to, spanning three decades of hits and composed of
different musical styles. We continually add music to our
song list, up to eighteen songs a month, often based on
our fan’s request. Not only does our song list have pop
and dance standards, but also the contemporary modern
rock of bands such as Puddle of Mudd, Alice in Chains,
Fuel, Rage Against the Machine, Incubus, and Foo
Fighters.
BANZAI is building a song list that is “POP”
oriented, modern rock and pop classics, which gets
people dancing and having a good time. Other bands,
with a similar approach, in the DC area, are doing very
well including Junkfood, Gonzo's Nose, the Jerxs, just
to name a few, as well as our previous projects, Jar of
Souls and Furious George.
The BANZAI Underground can cater to venues that
prefer soft music by playing all of the songs on our list
acoustically.
Please visit our web site www.banzaiband.com for
band information, demos, updated song listing, and
more.
