Born out of frustration and the need for a easier way to sift through the numerous Bape products available on eBay, when BapeOnline was created, eBay was the only place that offered a variety to those seeking Bape products. Born on October 17, 2005, BapeOnline went live just months before the opening of the Busy Workshop in New York's Soho district, this store would become the catalyst of the explosion of Bape, as a brand, in the U.S. From that BapeOnline was created. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, BapeOnline and it's creators felt accomplished in December of 2005 when the entire concept of BapeOnline was replicated, frustrated at first, the creators of BapeOnline soon realized that it is just that, flattery.
