OLD TESTAMENT:
A Biblical-Philadelphia story born out of random and chance encounters mixing many parts from different places over a period of seven days. Our story goes and comes together like this: Sheena came from Kansas City and was working as a waitress in a surf 'n turf bar where she met Deacon Johnny & immediately found Jesus. Prior to meeting Sheena, Deacon Johnny had already met Preacher Jim on a Philly street corner @ 3am. Heddie Gonzalez (born in PR, but raised in Jersey) had met Deacon Johnny a few years back before he had ever met Preacher Jim and Sheena; Heddie was the one who brought Deacon Johnny to the lord. However, Deacon Johnny did not immediately tell Preacher Jim or Sheena about Heddie til he realized Sister Heddie was key to an unsolsolved musical equation when God spoke to him and said include Heddie. Daddy-B-Doug, a sinner from Ohio had already known Deacon Johnny longer than anyone else in our story. One day Daddy-B-Doug just happened to be round when Sheena, Preacher Jim, Deacon Johnny and Heddie were getting together to practice. And somehow, it all clicked on that fateful day in Preacher Jim's tiny, South Philly basement. Elliott Levin & Gina Lady came and joined our flock the next day, the seventh day of our fellowship, AMEN!
NEW TESTAMENT: As fate would have it, eventually, Daddy-B-Doug, Gina, and Preacher Jim heard different callings; Doug to return to the motherland of Ohio, and Jim to other musical adventures elsewhere and beyond. The band previously, at a gig, had chanced upon Quirky Tom, and immediately a bond was formed among them. When Preacher Jim was called upon to drum for others, he vacated the drum seat within the Baptist Preachers, and Quirky Tom was told by God (thru Deacon Johnny of course) to take the seat, and help spread the word. Since then, the core of the group, Johnny, Heddie, Sheena, and QuirkyTom have been screaming the word to anyone who will listen.
